SCHOOL NEWS

Re-enrollment is now open!  Contracts for the 2024-2025 school year have been issued in OnCampus and are due by this Friday, March 15.  Current families have priority enrollment through this date, after which we will begin to enroll new students. 

As a learning community, HCS deliberately seeks feedback from our stakeholders to celebrate great work and understand opportunities for future improvements. Each year, we ask for feedback on a number of teachers based on a rotation of departments. Thank you for taking the time to complete this short survey. This survey can be taken multiple times for different staff members through Tuesday, March 26. All responses will be kept confidential.

INDIANA CHOICE SCHOLARSHIP NEWS

The State of Indiana has completed the final award amounts for Choice Scholarship recipients for the 2023-24 school year.  A final award letter will be sent home with your student(s) this week. You may also check Blackbaud Tuition Management for your updated balance.

PTO NEWS

A huge thank you to our families, friends, and supporters who came out to Chipotle last week! We raised a total of 679.32 for PTO! We feel so blessed by our community!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Junior High night! It was such a fun night of games and nachos!

TRIP NEWS

TRIP Quarterly Tuition Credit:  Two important dates coming up for TRIP – March 31st for online orders and April 18th for physical gift card orders.  Those dates will be the last time you can receive TRIP tuition credit for parents of a K-7th grade student not returning to HCS for the next school year, or an eighth grader not attending Illiana next fall, or an Illiana student graduating this spring.  Coordinate your last tuition payment/TRIP credit for the 23/24 school year with Roberta Huitsing or April Vander Meyden at HCS or Kathy West at Illiana.  Contact Ann Lynch at [email protected] if you have any questions.

This Week Current Bonus Rebates:  Gap/Old Navy, Arby’s, Red Robin, and Sonic.  Next Week Upcoming Bonus Rebates: ACE Hardware, Aeropostale, The Container Store, Domino’s, The Home Depot, and Jimmy Johns.  More rebates available through the online RaiseRight app.

TRIP is looking for a volunteer to serve on a Tuesday morning TRIP team.  This team takes care of “stuffing” TRIP orders.  If you have up to two hours once a month to serve on a TRIP team let Ann Lynch know at [email protected].

There are only 2 TRIP order dates available before Spring Break to order physical gift cards!

TRIP orders (paper and online) are due this Thurs., Mar., 14th by 10 a.m.  TRIP will be accepting physical gift card orders on Mar. 21, April 11, 18, and 25.  Online ordering is available 24/7.  Contact Ann Lynch at [email protected] for more information.

Team B (Jamie Paul, Karen Christoffels, Jessica Johnson, Olivia Ridder) will be putting the TRIP orders together on Tues., Mar. 12th.  Orders will be ready for pick up in the school office on Tuesday by 2:45 p.m.

COMMUNITY NEWS

Please join us on Wednesday, March 20, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for our GEMS Girls’ Club Ice Cream Fundraiser!  We will be having it in our church basement (New Life CRC – 3010 Ridge Road, Highland, IN).  We hope you can join us for an ice cream sundae and help raise funds for our next season of GEMS!

Information on Soccer Shots, a soccer program for ages 2 to 8, is available in the HCS office.

Information on First Serve Tennis Academy for grades 5th – 8th is available in the office.
