Highland Christian School is a gem. It’s a place of discovery for eager learners. It’s “home” for
multi-generation students. It’s an answer to prayer for believing parents. Yes, we are an
elementary school. But we are so much more.

We are a people grafted into the vine of Christ’s life and we’re tending the hearts and minds of
the children God has entrusted to us. We educate and disciple kids today, so that they are
prepared to take their place in the world as responsible, resourceful leaders who impact the
world for Christ in the future.

Before they can impact the world for Christ, however, they must be impacted BY Christ. This is why we are here, doing what we do. And this is what the Foundation was created to protect.
With an intent to provide for the long-term good of Highland Christian School, our community established a partial endowment fund, which has grown steadily over time and is now valued at $6.5 million dollars.

As the result of this growth, this year, the Highland Christian School Foundation Board was able to present a gift of $202,000 to the School Board this year— a powerful testament to what God can do through a faithful community. These funds were used to support 144 families directly in their
commitment for Christ-centered education and to fund the CHOICE Contingency Fund.

A major contributor to the Foundation’s growth is the etc… a thrift store. Last year alone they
contributed $375,000 to the Foundation! To this we say, that every donation, every purchase,
and every volunteer hour transforms everyday generosity into lasting blessings for our school
community.

As we look forward, 5, 10 and 25 years down the road, the Foundation is prayerfully
exploring new ways to increase revenue and impact. We believe God is opening doors for
growth, and we invite you to walk with us in faith as we continue this important work.
