HCS is currently accepting 2024/2025 registrations for Sonshine Enrichment Center, the preschool of Highland Christian School. We still have openings in all classes, however, they are filling up quickly and we do expect a full enrollment for next year. LIBRARY NEWS

Book Week is next week – February 26- March 1!  

The Book Fair will be in the gym foyer and is open February 27 -March1from 8:30 – 4 pm each day.  A flyer will be sent home with your student with some book choice information.  For a bigger selection you may order online at https://www.scholastic.com/bf/highlandchrschool . Monday – Be on the Reading Team! – Wear your favorite team or sports t-shirt

Tuesday – The more you Read the more you Know – Dress up like a teacher (They’ll dress up like you)

Wednesday – “Orange” you glad Reading keeps the “Blues” away? – Dress up in school colors

Thursday – I hope you “Sink your Teeth into a Good Book”. Bring your stuffed animal to school

Friday – Reading is a novel idea – Dress as your favorite book character

TRIP NEWS

TRIP is looking for a volunteer to serve on a Tuesday morning TRIP team.  This team takes care of “stuffing” TRIP orders.  If you have up to two hours once a month to serve on a TRIP team let Ann Lynch know at [email protected].

There are five TRIP order dates available before Spring break to order gift cards!  If you are traveling for Spring break you may be able to pay for hotels, airfare, food, gas, etc. with gift cards.  Plan ahead.

TRIP Quarterly Tuition Credit:  Two important dates coming up for TRIP – March 31^st for online orders and April 18^th for physical gift card orders.  Those dates will be the last time you can receive TRIP tuition credit for parents of a K-7^th grade student not returning to HCS for the next school year, or an eighth grader not attending Illiana next fall, or an Illiana student graduating this spring.  Coordinate your last tuition payment/TRIP credit for the 23/24 school year with Roberta Huitsing or April Vander Meyden at HCS or Kathy West at Illiana.  Contact Ann Lynch at [email protected] if you have any questions.

TRIP orders (paper and online) are due this Thurs., Feb. 22nd by 10 a.m.  TRIP will be accepting physical gift card orders on Feb. 29, Mar. 7, 14 and 21.  Online ordering is available 24/7.  Contact Ann Lynch at [email protected] for more information.

Team C will be putting the TRIP orders together today. Orders will be ready for pick up in the school office today by 2:45 p.m.
