HCS Stories

Since my children became students at Highland Christian school in 2020 I have witnessed such a change in their academics and their spiritual walk with God. Academically, my kids struggled and were reluctant to participate in school activities. My oldest was transitioning to middle school which I know can be a difficult time and quite a substantial change. Our work schedules and ability to take our kids to two different schools were challenging at times. I knew I had to do something so I decided to check out Highland Christian School and asked my sister to join me for a parent preview. I’ve always heard positive things about this school and now I now know it is true. We both decided to pray about it and enrolled our children. My family loves everything about this school, the biblical faith, curriculum, teachers, sports, and the fact that they can all attend school together. I have two elementary and two middle school-age children. The teachers care about their students and get to know their siblings as well as the entire family. It is apparent that the teachers genuinely care about our children’s needs and interests, and I believe they are dedicated to their success as well. The classroom size was also a concern for me; I know at HCS they range in the twenties which is better for the children to receive that one on one attention. I would like to also share about PTO. They provide great treats and enjoyable events for the children and families. My children have improved and joined sports, and I love to see their confidence when it comes to prayer and speaking of God. My husband and I are thankful to God every day that we found a school that provides everything our children need, including before- and after-school care.  I am proud to say my children attend Highland Christian School!
