SCHOOL NEWS
Thanksgiving Break: School will dismiss at 1:45 this Wednesday and will resume next Monday. Aftercare will be provided this Wednesday. We pray that our HCS families have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving!
Everyone is invited to join us for our Thanksgiving Chapel this Wednesday, November 22, beginning at 8:40 a.m. At this chapel we will be presenting our gifts to representatives from Roseland Christian Ministries. We are still accepting food and toiletries this Monday and Tuesday. Please help us bless others with these gifts. Thank you for your generous support!
We had another fun and meaningful Saturday Serve this past weekend! 46 volunteers went out into our neighboring community and cleaned-up 35 lawns and had FUN doing it! What a blessing it is to serve one another together. *Stay tuned for our next opportunity on December 9th!
When exiting the school via the south exit, please stop at the stop sign before pulling out onto Lincoln Street. We have had numerous calls from neighbors who are unable to pull out of their driveway because the stop sign is not obeyed.
Homemade vanilla is for sale in the office for all your holiday baking needs. Vanilla is $2.00 for an 8 oz. bottle.

ATHLETIC NEWS
Tuesday, Nov. 21 – 6th, 7th, 8th basketball vs. Calvary – AWAY – 4:00, 5:00, 6:00
Monday, Nov. 27 – 6th, 7th, 8th basketball vs. DeMotte – HOME – 4:00, 5:00, 6:00
Guidelines for Sporting Events:
- Kindergarten through 5th grade students are not able to attend home basketball games without a parent/guardian at school with them. Any K-5 without a parent or guardian will be sent to Aftercare and will be billed accordingly.
- Junior High students are able to attend the basketball games. They are strongly encouraged to cheer on our teams and not just come to be on their phone or Macbook. Macbooks will not be allowed in the bleachers and should be kept safely in their backpack. Any Macbooks that are out during the games will be taken and will be given to a parent/guardian when they come to pick their child up.
- Those junior high students who do not have parents in attendance….
- If your son or daughter is not in the gym during the games and hanging out in the hallway or being disruptive, a phone call will be made for them to be picked up.
- Please make sure to have your son or daughter picked up before the end of the last game.
- Garbage – We love the amount of options that our concession stand offers to the fans that attend games at HCS. If all of us could take responsibility for the cleanliness of our school after each game (even serving the other school by cleaning up any garbage left on their side) that would really bless our cleaning crew. If each person picked up 3 things before they left it would make a huge difference!
Thank you for your cooperation with these guidelines for our home athletic games.
