Fundraisers

Highland Christian school is 100% funded through tuition and gifts. Fundraising can be understood in 3 categories:

Direct Appeals

These appeals are Board directed and designed to meet specific needs. There are 3 specific annual appeals.

  1. Building Fund/Capital Improvements -(October)Each year, the School Board identifies a specific capital improvement project that needs to be completed in order to cost effectively maintain the beautiful facilites we enjoy with. This appeal takes place in October.
  2. Foundation Appeal – (February) Whereas the School Board addresses “brick and mortar” issues, the Foundation raises money for the HCS Endowment Fund. This is an invested growth fund used. Gifts to this fund are kept in perpetuity. An annual gift is made to offset operating expenses at Highland Christian School and thereby control tuition fees.
  3. Wishlist – The Wishlist is published quarterly in the School Bell and is also available to view online. These are “wished for” items that will compliment student experiences in learning.
